When some of my users do a multi-select on a pivot table field list in MS Excel that is tied to a SSAS object, the selection won't stay checked if the name contains certain characters (or maybe it's just one). Selections in the same hierarchy without the characters stay selected as expected. For now, the ("-quote) symbol seems to be the prime suspect. I can find nothing about this issue on the net or in this site, but it can't be an uncommon issue given that the symbol is used for inches. The one thing that might make our environment uncommon is that the names are set to unique, so the name is used in the MDX statements. Has anyone experienced this and what did you do about it?
